Teaching in SL

 

In April 2008, SMU opened its virtual campus in Second Life (SL).  The purpose of this virtual campus is to explore outreach, teaching and research opportunities in this rich, computer-mediated environment.  For information on how other institutions have been leveraging Second Life in teaching and learning, please go to the "Teaching in SL" page.

Our first outreach event will be a Graduation Party on May 31, 2008.  Please go to the "Events" page for more details.

To visit SMU's island in Second Life, you will need to have an account and avatar in Second Life.  You can sign up for a free account.  Follow the instructions on the "Getting Started" page. 

Once you have your account, either use the Second Life Search function to find SMU's island, or point your browser to:
