Officially chartered in May 1990, the William "Mac" Taylor Inn of Court one of five chapters of The American Inns of Court in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and one of hundreds of such chapters around the world.  We are dedicated to fostering and promoting the American bar's tradition of ethical and competent representation in an environment of civility and respect.

We prize our significant relationship with a law school -- Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law -- and in having third-year law students as members of our chapter.  This relationship provides the law students with an unrivaled opportunity to learn about the legal profession from practitioners and judges.

In the spring of 2000, we were honored to sponsor a visiting British Pegasus Trust Scholar, Emma Brown, for a three-month visit to Dallas.  Click here to read more about her activities with our Inn members. In 2006, our own Elizabeth-Anne Larsen was one of two American lawyers to be Pegasus Scholars in England. Click here to read about her experience.
