Temporal Analysis of:
Wireless Fantasy (1960)
by Vladimir Ussachevsky

Commissioned by the “de Forest Pioneers” to celebrate the birth of wireless radio, this seminal work combines electronic sounds, recorded and manipulated sounds, Morse code, and a quotation from Wagner’s prelude to the opera Parsifal into a multi-layered fantasy of musical sound art. This temporal analysis focuses upon the intuitive pacing, cadence, and structure of this masterwork.
