A Performer Adaptive Score is an interactive electro-acoustic composition that monitors and analyses a performer's interpretation in real-time and adapts the precomposed materials to match and reflect this interpretation. Composers may create a Performer Adaptive Score (PAS) using the free downloads via the link below. Compositions created may be performed using these same materials and distributed freely, as long as the package remains complete and all PAS Engine files remain unaltered. Composers wishing to modify audio effects or triggers may do so, but must retain all copyright notices in the PAS Engine. Please email me at: robfrank@smu.edu if you create new modules, and if you might be interested in sharing these with others. As a free download, the author assumes no liability for any misuse or damages - perceived or real. Updates will be posted to this web site as they become available. As new works are created, the author may also add a links page to this web site.
Performer Adaptive Score software and tools are copyright 2006-2007 by Robert J. Frank. The Performer Adaptive Score system was first presented at the 2006 International Computer Music Conference. A revised copy of the research paper outlining Performer Adaptive Scores is included on the downloads page.
