Mason played football at Oregon State during the 1953, '54 and '55 seasons. He played backup quarterback during his sophmore year; was the team's leading ground gainer playing left halfback the next year; and played wingback for the legendary coach Tommy Protho his senior year. Oregon State took second place in the Pacific Coast Conference that year. |
