Anth 6306 Anthropology and Education

Question #1

Education has been an important feature of societies for centuries.  This has certainly been the case for Latin America and the United States.  What are some of the most important similarities and differences in education – formal and informal – as they have been practiced in the Americas in the period since the arrival of Europeans in the New World.  Be sure to cite appropriate readings, lectures, videos, and other related materials in your answer.
