Description
The
anthropological approach to the study of schools; how an anthropological
framework can provide insight into the nature of education and classroom
interaction. In addition, this course will examine the development of
education its cultural, economic, political, religious, and social
contexts. Special consideration will be given to "bilingual" and
"bicultural" (and "multicultural") education in the United
States, in Mexico, and elsewhere in the Americas.
