INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS

Course Outline

1. Scope of Course

This course introduces students to fundamental legal problems encountered by U.S. enterprises engaged in international business. Emphasis is on transactional planning and problem-solving.

3. Class Attendance, Assignments and Preparation

We expect students to attend class regularly and to be prepared to discuss the assigned materials in class. The assignments are set out in the attached course syllabus.

4. Office Hours

Professor Winship's office is in Room 228, Storey Hall. Subject to rescheduling, his office hours will be Tuesday, 4:00-5:00 p.m., and Wednesday, 9:00-10:00 a.m.

5. Final Examination

We will administer a three-hour examination at 8:30 a.m. on December 18. (Foreign LL.M. students whose native language is not English will be permitted an additional hour.) During the examination you may consult any published or written materials other than materials checked out of the law library. Your grade for the final examination will be your grade for the course.
