In this paper we present a regularization for semi-explicit index-one differential-algebraic equations with rank-deficient or singular constraints.  We consider those problems for which the solution is well-defined through the singularity.  We give convergence results for the regularization applied to linear DAEs, and present some numerical experiments which illustrate its effectiveness.
