RESEARCH AREAS:

 


Experimental and theoretical fluid mechanics and heat transfer, turbulent flows, plasma applications to aerodynamics, micro-optical sensor technology, optical flow diagnostics based molecular and particle scattering.

 

Prof. Otugen's research has been externally funded by a diverse set of federal and local agencies as well as the industry (NSF, NASA, DoD, GRI, NYGas, EXXON,  etc) 


TEACHING SUBJECTS:

 


 

Undergraduate:  Fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, compressible flow, viscous flow, dynamics, structural systems, rocket propulsion, aircraft design.

 

Graduate: Convective heat transfer, transport phenomena, boundary layer theory, turbulence and experimental methods.
