tidbits: laundry amusements
(4:13) from the very first TIDBITS gig at the Red Blood in Deep Ellum just before 9/11. how innocent. how clueless we were. and yet, there's something that positively told us we were going somewhere. like maybe IHop right after the gig.
except for the BL Lacerta tune, the following are from the Cheeseworks Studios, my protools based home studio. unlike most places you go, everything here is a full length song. of course, that means longer downloads so click on a few and peel yourself a grape or two.

(4:14) title track from the Fluteslinger CD recorded as 2003 became 2004. made possible by the sweet flute and guitar patches in my yamaha S-30 and motif rack module. oh, and the yamaha AN2000 desktop synth/drum machine.

(2:38) a mid 60s bluenotesque tune from a session in Roosterpoot during xmas week, 2003, featuring a muted trumpet and flute duo over guitar, bass and drums. here's to portable studio gear like the I-mac and M-box that sat in the front seat during the trip, surrounded by snacks, cds and dirty clothes packed just for mom.

(1:45) jazz from the cheeseworks studio, recorded in the summer of 2003, when a student turned me on to Reason, the virtual rack and sequencer. dont let shufflebob talk you into nothin, now. actually, this thing is a thirdstream ramble through the grey area of my brain between classical, big band swing and avant funk. like I said...third stream.
