the syllabus calendar is TBA. the following details are from a generic syllabus as regards a few of the class requirements.
5 typed pages, 12 pt.font, double spaced . compare and contrast 3 live performances seen this semester. one Loud event (rock, rap, etc.), one acoustic (folk, classical, etc.) and one contrasting show in terms of style or atmosphere. divide paper into 5 aspects: music, musicians, audience, atmosphere, overall impression.
choose person, band or subject and write at least one page paper discussing your research to turn in the next class for attendance/homework.
3 exams @ 100 pts.......300 pts
the big term paper........100
10 homeworks.............100
heap get down total......500 pts possible
