METHOD OF EVALUATION: 3 exams, paper and homework.
We will be working through some of the listening to many of the exercises at the end of the various chapters. You are encouraged to work through all of the post chapter listening material and information, much of which will appear on the written exams.
Use your curiosity, the internet and library to amplify your understanding of the text.
5 pgs typed, 12 pt.font, reasonable margins, focused thoughts... contrast and compare 3 concerts seen this semester. divide paper into music, musicians, audience, venue and overall impression. concerts include classical, non-classical and a contrasting style. the paper is worth 100 points, due week 13.
find something from class and write a one page research paper, expanding your understanding, to be turned in the next class for attendance/homework credit.
3 exams @ 100 pts...........300 pts.
the paper @ 100 pts..........100
10 homeworks @ 10 pts....100
for a grand total of..............500 pts.
90% A 80% B 70% C etc.
homework must be turned in on time for attendance credit
