Dr. Pashupati
joined the faculty of the SMU
Dr. Pashupati’s
research interests straddle three main areas: (1) advertising, (2) consumer
behavior, and (3) policy issues surrounding information and communication
technologies (ICT). Some of his recent research in advertising has focused on
Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) ads for prescription drugs. He has also done research
in the areas of consumer privacy and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Dr. Pashupati’s work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and
presented at national and international conferences.
Dr. Pashupati serves
on the editorial review board of the Journal of Interactive Advertising, and as an ad
hoc reviewer for several national and international journals in marketing, and
advertising. He was formerly on the editorial review board of the Newspaper Research Journal.

lives in Plano (Texas) with his wife and son. He is an avid photographer and
loves to travel around the world with his cameras.
