25 June 2010:   As the ship steams into the harbor, here are the final coordinates. Monday: finish Croly, FDR.  Then on to JFK and King.  Tuesday, the rest of VII.A., and through Kirk and Goldwater.  We'll do Reagan with an insightful wrap up before the final quiz/exam on Wedinesday.

--------------------------

5 June 2010:   Okay, so we've got 4 days (the equivalent of a bit more than two weeks or so of an actual semester) down.  Monday we will finish Crevecoeur, then do Adams.  On Tuesday, and through the rest of the week, we will tackle Publius.  We've got a good deal of reading to do, so get on top of it.  See you at 2 PM on the 7th.

--------------------------

31 May 2010:   Hello end of summer!!!  Or, at least, a bit of a hiatus.  Welcome to American Political Thought, your intellectual home (or one of them) for the next 30 days.

Prior to the first class, please do the following:  First,  Look over the syllabus.  I will pass it out in class on the 1st, so you need not print it. However, I expect you to familiarize yourself with it.  I will take any questions about it at the end of class on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Second, familiarize yourself with the class's blackboard webpage.  Third, print and bring to class the "currency of concepts" hand/webout.

See you in class Tuesday, 1 June, at 2:00 PM on the dot.
