Micro Windmills to Recharge Cell Phones

The Windmill in Action

At the University of Texas Arlington, scientists J.C. Chiao and Smitha Rao have developed micro-windmills which recharge smartphones. The miniature device is only 1.8mm wide, which is insanely small. Their thought is that many of the devices could be attached between a small casing, allowing a breeze to come through; hence powering the windmills to create a charge. This is pretty nuts, lets see if anything is to come of it.
