The following tables give examples of possible course plans for a Statistical Science B.S. major following the new (2017-18) catalog. Note that these are just examples, not an exhaustive list of all possible ways to complete the 42 hours required for the major. Also, no information is given related to the UC or other SMU requirements.

Four tracks are given; the first is a “regular” track for someone who wants training in statistics;  the second is suitable for those double majoring in Statistics and Mathematics, the third for those thinking of getting the MASDA degree in a 5th year;  the fourth would be suitable for a student double majoring in Statistics and Economics.

Important note: Some advanced STAT courses (3000+), require that you be a declared STAT major or minor. Please check the course descriptions.
