Three (3) exams of equal weighting (1 hour 25 minutes each).

1. Anthony & Pearlman, Essentials of Accounting, paperback, 7th edition, 2000, Prentice-Hall, ISBN 0-201-61540-1 (required). This self-paced-learning manual provides an easy introduction to the fundamentals of financial accounting.
   
2. Horngren, Sundem, and Stratton, Introduction to Management Accounting, 12th edition, 2002, Prentice-Hall, ISBN 0-13-032373-X] (strongly recommended). Horngren is the famous “father of management accounting” and his colorful textbook presents the key concepts with a large number of examples. Homework assignments will come from this source.
