Arthuriana publishes peer-reviewed, on-line analytical and bibliographical surveys of various Arthurian subjects. You can access these e-resources through this site. The review and evaluation processes for e-articles is identical to that for the print journal . Once accepted for publication, our surveys are supported and maintained by Professor Alan Lupack at the University of Rochester through the Camelot Project.
Arthurian Chronology : This list of Arthurian dates is an evolving, on-line collection in the form of a timeline with entries listed under three categories: History, Literature, and the Arts. The entries are collected from a wide variety of sources, included in the Bibliography. The goal is to continue to add new entries through outside contributions which will be properly acknowledged on the web page.
The Arthuriana Chronology is maintained by Christopher Snyder. Dr. Snyder is Acting Chair of the Department of History and Politics at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. He earned his Ph.D. in Medieval History at Emory University in 1994 and taught at Emory and the College of William and Mary before coming to Marymount. Dr. Snyder's publications include Sub-Roman Britain (AD 400-600): A Gazetteer of Sites (Oxford, 1996) and An Age of Tyrants: Britain and the Britons, AD 400-600 (Penn State, 1998). aHe has a new book (forthcoming) titled The World of King Arthur. Dr. Snyder serves on the editorial boards of History Reviews On-line and ORB: On-line Reference Book for Medieval Studies, and is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.Arthurian Places : The Gazetteer is an evolving, on-line collection of sites in Britain related to Arthurian history and legend. For each site there is a brief description and geographical reference, while many are accompanied by photographs. The sites are collected from a wide variety of sources, included in the Bibliography. The goal, however, is to continue to add both new sites and visual materials through outside contributions which will be properly acknowledged on the web page, written and maintained by Christopher Snyder.
